I am a double board certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist based in Westchester, New York. In addition to my work in my private practice, I am also an assistant professor in psychiatry at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell.
I've practiced in numerous settings including general outpatient care, student mental health, behavioral health urgent care, and crisis intervention.
I have particular interest and expertise working with children, adolescents, and young adults, and have extensive experience working closely with families and schools. Additionally, I have a special interest in women’s mental health across the lifespan, including during pregnancy and postpartum.
I take a comprehensive and collaborative approach to treatment, seeking to understand the many factors that contribute to overall mental health. I believe in the importance of psychotherapy, lifestyle interventions, caregiver support and guidance, and when indicated, thoughtful and careful use of medication. With a focus on evidence-based practice and personalized care, I am dedicated to helping my patients achieve mental well-being and improved quality of life.
In addition to psychopharmacology, I have training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and family therapy. I draw on these modalities to help my patients better understand themselves, develop healthy coping skills, and improve overall wellbeing.
